"What did you do today as an estate manager?" Another sucessful conclusion by MJ: Advised an overseas landowner in relation to two substantial agricultural holdings on an estate in the United Kingdom where a sub-tenant asserted proprietary rights and refused to vacate the premises. Following strategic assessment of litigation risk, cost exposure, and timing implications, I advised my client against immediate legal proceedings and instead pursued a negotiated resolution. I was instructed to engage directly with the sub-tenant and conducted without-prejudice negotiations aimed at securing a full surrender of any claimed rights whilst keeping the client and their retained legal team appraised of progress. Apologies for the lack of updates recently, I've been working out of my normal patch up in Cumbria for a while with very little phone signal, a lot of rain and some stunning scenery! First job this morning is drawing up and serving some Equine Abandonment Notices for a client after they discovered several horses grazing on some of their land without any grazing agreement. Did you know I can also draft and supply tailored sporting and shooting licences to set up an agreement between the shoot and the landowner and can vary the terms to tailor them to individual needs? With the shooting season just around the corner, have you got everything in place to cover your Health and Safety obligations this season?
